The Savage Axis 2 is an affordable, full-size bolt action hunting rifle chambered in 223 Remington. The redesigned Axis 2 pairs a 22-inch matte black carbon-steel sporter barrel with a 1:9" twist and a matte black drilled and tapped steel receiver, giving you a clean platform ready for your favorite scope mount.

Savage's proven AccuTrigger provides a crisp, user-adjustable pull right out of the box, and the fixed matte gray synthetic stock is shaped for improved ergonomics over the original Axis. This left-hand configuration feeds from a detachable 4-round magazine for a 4+1 capacity, making it a natural choice for varmint and predator hunting as well as general range work.

At 42.50" overall and 6.60 lbs, the Axis 2 is light enough to carry all day and balanced for comfortable shooting from prone, bench, or field positions. The rifle ships without factory iron sights, so a scope or red dot can be mounted directly to the receiver's pre-drilled and tapped bases.
