The Savage A17 Target Sporter is a semi-auto rimfire rifle chambered in 17 HMR, purpose-built for both hunting and target shooting. Part of Savage's A Series, this full-size Target Sporter configuration pairs a heavy-profile target barrel with a stable laminate stock for repeatable accuracy.

The 22" heavy target barrel is chambered for the high-velocity 17 HMR cartridge and features a 1:9" twist rate with a high-luster blued finish. The carbon steel receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting and wears a case-hardened finish. The rotary magazine feeds reliably for fast follow-up shots, with a total capacity of 10+1.

At the heart of the action is Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger, paired with a crossbolt safety for confident handling. The rifle ships with no iron sights installed, leaving the receiver clean for optic mounting. The fixed satin gray laminate stock provides a stable shooting platform with classic sporter styling. Overall length is 41.5" at a weight of 6.83 lbs.
