The Savage 64 Takedown is a left-hand .22 LR semi-automatic rimfire rifle that pairs the proven Model 64 action with a quick-disassembly takedown design. It features a 16.50-inch sporter barrel, a satin black drilled and tapped carbon steel receiver, and a matte black fixed synthetic stock. The rifle breaks down without tools for compact transport, and ships with a factory 10-round detachable magazine and a protective carrying case.

Chambered in .22 LR and fed by a 10-round magazine, the 64 Takedown pairs its 16.5" barrel with a 1:16" twist for stabilizing a wide range of rimfire bullet weights. An overall length of 36.25" preserves a full sight radius while keeping the package compact enough for backpack carry, and the drilled and tapped receiver accepts standard rimfire scope bases for easy optic mounting.

Iron sights are a bead front paired with an open V notch rear for fast target acquisition, and the matte black metal finish keeps glare to a minimum in the field.
