The Savage 25 Walking Varminter is a purpose-built bolt-action varmint rifle chambered in .222 Remington, designed for hunters and target shooters who want a lighter, more packable alternative to a traditional heavy-barrel bench rig. The "Walking Varminter" concept trims weight where it can without sacrificing the accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency you need for small-game and predator work across open country.

This full-size Model 25 pairs a 22" heavy-contour barrel with a 1:14" twist, both machined from carbon steel and finished in non-reflective matte black. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting, and the rifle ships without iron sights so you can mount optics directly to the action. An adjustable AccuTrigger lets the shooter set the pull weight to preference, and a thumb safety sits at the rear of the bolt for intuitive, reach-friendly operation.

The rifle feeds from a 4-round detachable box magazine for a 4+1 capacity and wears a fixed varmint-style synthetic stock in matte black, configured for right-hand shooters. Overall length measures 41.75" and weight comes in at 6.90 lbs, making this a trim, carry-friendly rig for chasing varmints on the move.
