The Samson Magazine Extension is a drop-in +1 magazine extension machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in hardcoat anodized black. Designed specifically for the factory 7-round and 8-round magazines of the S&W M&P Shield and M&P Shield M2.0 in 9mm Luger, the extension installs in place of the factory base plate to add a single round of capacity while giving the magazine a slightly longer, easier-to-grip base for faster reloads.

Beyond the extra round, the Samson extension also serves as a clearing tool at the bench or on the range. The extended base provides positive leverage for stripping stubborn stuck magazines, helping the shooter clear malfunctions quickly without slamming the mag against a hard surface. A replacement base plate retainer is included to maintain positive feeding using the factory magazine spring, so reliability with your existing OEM magazines is preserved.

Installation is straightforward: remove the factory base plate from your existing M&P Shield or M2.0 7 or 8-round 9mm magazine and install the Samson extension in its place. The result is an 8-round or 9-round magazine that maintains the slim, single-stack profile the Shield is known for. This is a practical upgrade for concealed carry and range use alike.
