The S.O.G SOG-TAC AU Compact is a fast-opening, hard-use automatic folding knife from S.O.G, built around a 2.94" tanto blade in Cryo D2 tool steel with a black TiNi coating and a partially serrated edge. Designed as a modern duty folder, the SOG-TAC AU combines SOG's AU-XR locking mechanism with rapid automatic deployment for quick, confident access in the field.

The tanto profile delivers strong tip geometry for piercing and detail work, while the partial serration adds cutting versatility for cord, webbing, and fibrous material. The Cryo D2 blade benefits from SOG's cryogenic heat treatment for improved wear resistance and edge retention, and is finished with a low-glare black TiNi coating to reduce reflection.
