The Rugged Suppressor Obsidian Dual Taper Mount is a quick-detach mounting system purpose-built to attach the Rugged Obsidian9 and Obsidian45 pistol suppressors to a variety of hosts. Using Rugged's proven dual taper locking system, this friction-fit mount self-centers the can on the muzzle device and locks up tight under recoil, then releases by hand for fast swaps between firearms.

The Dual Taper Mount was designed for shooters who want to run a single Obsidian on more than one platform. It is ideal for 9mm pistol-caliber carbines (PCCs), subguns, 300 BLK rifles, and .357 lever actions, opening up the Obsidian line well beyond a standard pistol host. The dual taper geometry resists loosening during sustained fire while still allowing tool-free removal for cleaning or host changes.
