The Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan is a purpose-built, compact revolver chambered in the powerful 480 Ruger cartridge. Part of Ruger's Alaskan line, this Model 5302 pairs a stubby 2.50-inch barrel with a six-round cylinder on Ruger's small-frame, triple-locking platform. The compact configuration is built as a backcountry and personal-protection sidearm, delivering hard-hitting magnum performance in a package that rides comfortably in a pack or holster for woods carry and defensive use.

The satin stainless steel barrel, cylinder, and frame provide corrosion resistance well suited to outdoor carry. The Super Redhawk's signature triple-locking cylinder is locked into the frame at the front, rear, and bottom for positive alignment and dependable ignition with the stout 480 Ruger round. An exposed hammer permits single-action cocking, and a Ruger transfer-bar safety provides positive carry protection. Sighting is handled by a ramp front sight paired with an adjustable rear sight.

Handling is courtesy of a black Hogue Finger Groove Monogrip, which absorbs recoil and provides a secure hold.
