The Rossi R95 Trapper in .45-70 Government is a compact lever-action rifle that brings the modern R95 platform down to a fast-handling Trapper configuration. The shortened 16.50" barrel trims the overall length to 35.50", giving the rifle a trim, easy-swinging profile well suited to brush hunting, saddle scabbards, and trail guns where a longer rifle would be a hindrance. Despite the short barrel, the R95 still feeds the venerable .45-70 Gov through a 5+1 tubular magazine for hard-hitting performance on deer, hogs, and defense in bear country.

The barrel wears a uniform Black Oxide finish and is threaded 5/8"x24 for muzzle devices and suppressor mounting. The barreled action sits on an alloy steel receiver finished in matching Black Oxide and topped with an integrated Picatinny rail for direct optic mounting. Iron-sight shooters get a drift-adjustable front blade paired with a buckhorn-style adjustable rear, and a positive crossbolt safety keeps the lever-action under manual control.

A fixed Black polymer stock keeps carry weight at a manageable 6.70 lbs, well balanced for offhand shooting and quick follow-up shots in the field. The 1:12" RH twist stabilizes the heavy-bullet .45-70 loads most popular with big-game hunters, making this Trapper a practical, suppressor-ready brush rifle from the current Rossi line.
