The Rosco Manufacturing Purebred is a precision drop-in barrel built for serious AR-15 SPR and DMR rifle builds. This 18" SPR-profile barrel is chambered in .223 Wylde, allowing it to safely and accurately fire both .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition while delivering the tight tolerances of a match chamber.
The barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel and finished with Nickel Boron on the extension for ultra-smooth feeding and reliable lockup. A 1:7" rifling twist stabilizes the full range of modern bullet weights, from light varmint projectiles up to heavy 77-grain and beyond open-pattern match loads. The traditional SPR contour gives the barrel a substantial, rigid profile that is well suited for cold-bore shots on target and long-range precision work.
Designed for a rifle-length gas system, this Purebred barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for standard muzzle devices and is a direct fit for any mil-spec or match-grade AR-15 upper receiver.
