Rock Island Armory TAC Ultra FS AOS 45 ACP 5" 8+1 Semi-Auto Pistol

The Rock Island Armory TAC Ultra FS AOS brings a duty-grade, optics-ready take on the classic M1911-A1 platform chambered in .45 ACP. Built on a full-size steel frame and slide with a 5.05" barrel and an 8+1 round capacity, this single-action semi-auto pistol is finished in Black Parkerized for a no-glare, hard-use appearance, and is part of RIA's RIA-USA line.

Sized for duty and defensive use, the TAC Ultra FS AOS measures 8.74" overall length with a 5.55" overall height and 1.43" overall width, tipping the scales at approximately 2.5 lb. The right-hand friendly grip frame carries traditional 1911 controls including a manual thumb safety and beavertail grip profile, and accepts standard 1911-style magazines.

The defining feature of this variant is the AOS (Armscor Optic System) plate cut, which allows direct mounting of popular micro red dots without the need for adapter plates while still preserving the classic 1911 sight picture when running iron sights. The single-action trigger is tuned to a 4-6 lb pull for crisp, intentional breaks.
