The Rock Island Armory TAC Ultra FS HC AOS is a full-size 1911-pattern semi-automatic pistol chambered in 10mm Auto. Built on a rugged steel frame and finished in non-reflective black Parkerized coating, the TAC Ultra pairs a classic single-action trigger with a high-capacity double-stack magazine and an optic-ready AOS (Accessory Optics System) slide for shooters who want hard-hitting 10mm performance in a familiar 1911 package.

At the core of this pistol is a 5" barrel paired with a crisp single-action semi-automatic action and a 16+1 capacity supplied by one included double-stack magazine. The TAC Ultra FS HC gives the shooter significantly more rounds on tap than a traditional single-stack 1911, without sacrificing the crisp trigger pull and slim grip profile that have defined the platform for over a century.

The AOS optic-ready slide is cut to accept a wide range of popular reflex optics directly, and the steel-frame construction gives the pistol an overall length of 8.74" with an overall height of 5.77". At roughly 40 oz (2.5 lbs), the TAC Ultra FS HC carries enough mass to help tame the felt recoil of full-power 10mm loads while staying controllable on the range.

The 10mm Auto chambering makes the TAC Ultra FS HC a versatile choice for home defense, woods carry, and hunting, while still running lighter target loads comfortably. Standard 1911 controls include a manual thumb safety and grip safety for confident carry and manipulation. Each pistol ships with one 16-round magazine, ready to add a red dot and go to work.
