The Riton Optics 3 Tactix is a purpose-built 1-8x24mm low-power variable optic (LPVO) built around a 30mm main tube and intended for AR-platform rifles and other modern sporting setups. A true 1x bottom end lets the shooter run the optic with both eyes open at close quarters, while the 8x top end provides the magnification needed for mid-range precision holds, all in one package.

At the core of the 3 Tactix is an illuminated OT reticle held in a second focal plane, so the subtensions stay consistent across the magnification range while the illuminated center dot delivers a bright, fast aiming point when speed matters. A 24mm objective keeps the overall profile compact and light, and fully multi-coated lenses work to push a crisp, clear sight picture through the entire 1-8x range.

Ergonomics are well covered: a fixed 100-yard parallax setting, a generous 3.50" of eye relief, and a field of view running from 105.80 ft at 1x down to 13.10 ft at 8x at 100 yards for fast, natural target acquisition. The matte black anodized 30mm tube is fog proof, shockproof, and waterproof, so the optic is ready for hard use in adverse conditions. At just 10.87" long, it tucks neatly onto any MSR with plenty of rail real estate remaining for a back-up iron sight or a mounted red dot.
