The Real Avid 1911 Smart Mat is a purpose-built pistol cleaning and disassembly station sized for a fully field-stripped 1911-pattern handgun. Printed directly on the work surface is a clear 1911 disassembly diagram so field stripping, lubrication, and reassembly can be done right on the bench without flipping through a manual.

The mat measures 19" x 16", giving plenty of room to lay out a frame, slide, barrel, bushing, recoil spring, magazine, and small pins without losing track of anything. The padded neoprene surface is solvent- and oil-resistant, so it shrugs off gun oil, CLP, and standard cleaning solvents while protecting the bench underneath from scratches and chemical staining.

A built-in Parts Keeper tray catches small components - springs, detents, the barrel bushing, and the firing pin stop - so nothing rolls off the bench during a detail strip.
