RCBS Hand Case Neck Turner Pilot 500 Cal Stainless Steel

The RCBS Hand Case Neck Turner Pilot in 500 Caliber is a caliber-specific guide that fits the RCBS Hand Case Neck Turner tool (sold separately). Cut from stainless steel, the pilot slips into the case mouth and centers the open end of the resized case inside the turner so the cutter removes a uniform amount of brass from the outside of the neck wall.

In hand neck turning, the pilot is what establishes the final inside diameter of the neck while the cutter trims the outside down to match. Using the correct, caliber-matched pilot is essential for concentric, even-walled case necks - the foundation for consistent bullet tension, uniform seating depth, and the most precise handloads possible.
