RCBS 9802 Expander-Decapping Unit .223 Rem/5.56mm

The RCBS 9802 Expander-Decapping Unit is a replacement case-prep component sized for .223 Rem/5.56mm bottleneck cartridges. It drops into your existing RCBS sizing die, converting an older-style decapper into a modern expander-decapping assembly so you do not have to buy a whole new die set.

Three working pieces are built into the unit: an expander rod, an expander ball, and a decapping pin. The pin drives spent primers out of the primer pocket, while the ball smoothly opens the case mouth to a uniform diameter and gives it just enough flare for reliable bullet seating on the reloading press.

Machined from metal with a gray finish, the 9802 carries RCBS's standard reloading-grade tolerances and installs in RCBS bottleneck-caliber sizing dies for case preparation at the bench.
