The Radical Firearms FR16-7.62x39 HBAR-15RPR is a semi-automatic AR-15 platform rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm, giving shooters the ballistics of the popular AK-pattern cartridge with the modular controls, ergonomics, and aftermarket support of the modern sporting rifle.

At the core of this rifle is a 16" heavy profile (HBAR) barrel machined from 4150 Chrome Moly steel with a 1:10 twist rate and 5/8x24 threads for muzzle accessory compatibility. A carbine-length gas system paired with a .750 low-profile gas block keeps cycling reliable across a wide range of 7.62x39 ammunition.

The upper and lower receivers are forged MIL-STD 7075-T6 aluminum finished in black anodize, and the rifle is dressed with Radical Firearms' 15" RPR free-float M-LOK handguard for full-length accessory mounting and consistent barrel harmonics. This configuration ships with a 10-round detachable magazine for a 10+1 capacity.
