The Proof Research PXT Bolt-Action Barrel Blank combines the company's proprietary PXT rifling technology with a precision-machined stainless steel blank, built as a premium foundation for a custom 308 Winchester rifle.

At 26 inches long with a 1:10 PXT twist and a 5-groove rifling pattern, this blank is engineered for stability and consistent projectile engagement across a wide range of bullet weights. The Competition contour profile - featuring a 2.5" breech length and a 1.25" shank diameter - provides the rigidity needed for long-range precision work while bringing the finished barrel weight to roughly 7 lbs 8 oz.
