The Proof Research 103395 is a premium bolt action barrel blank built around a 224 caliber bore and intended for custom rifle builds chambered in cartridges such as the 223 Remington, 22-250 Remington, and 220 Swift.

This blank measures 18 inches in length with a 1:8 twist rate and is machined in the heavy Sendero contour. At its core is 416R stainless steel that is double stress-relieved and precision honed, then wrapped in a high-modulus carbon fiber sleeve. The carbon fiber wrap drops weight by up to 64% compared to a traditional steel barrel of the same contour, while delivering match-grade accuracy and noticeably improved heat dissipation during long strings of fire.

The blank is finished to a 2.50" breech length with a 1.20" shank diameter, ready for the gunsmith to chamber, finish, and fit it to your action. Approximate weight is 2 lbs 10 oz. Made in the USA.
