The Pietta 1851 Navy Yank Sheriff is a 44 caliber percussion cap-and-ball single-action revolver inspired by the classic mid-19th century 1851 Navy pattern, trimmed down into the shorter Sheriff configuration. This compact six-shooter carries a 4.88" octagonal blued steel barrel mated to a matching blued 6-shot cylinder, offering the fast-draw handling and light recoil the shortened 1851 profile is known for.

The revolver is built around a steel frame finished in Pietta's signature color case hardened treatment, with the barrel and cylinder wearing a traditional deep blued finish. A smooth walnut grip fits naturally in the hand, and at just 2.20 lbs the gun is light enough for comfortable range sessions. Single-action only (SAO) operation keeps the manual of arms simple and authentic, with striker-fired ignition from standard percussion caps.

Rifled with a 1:30" twist, the Yank Sheriff will stabilize traditional round ball and conical lead projectiles over black powder charges.
