The Patriot Ordnance Factory 223 Dictator is a 9-position adjustable direct-impingement gas block purpose-built for AR-15 rifles chambered in .223 Rem / 5.56 NATO. The Dictator pairs an adjustable block with a pre-installed mid-length straight gas tube, fitting standard .750-inch gas block journals. Nine detented settings, including a fully closed "off" position, let the shooter dial in cycling speed, bolt velocity, and ejection behavior on the fly.

Originally developed to manage the added back pressure introduced by sound suppressors, the Dictator gives the user nine distinct detented positions to control gas flow to the bolt carrier, letting the rifle run reliably with or without a can on the muzzle. The block carries a QPQ black nitride finish for corrosion resistance and long service life under hard field use.
