Otis Ripcord Bore Cleaner .22/.223/5.56mm 8-32" Thread Nomex/Rubber 36"

The Otis Ripcord is a caliber-specific, one-pass bore cleaner that threads onto any standard 8-32" cleaning rod and pulls fouling out in a single stroke. Sized for .22/.223/5.56mm rifle and pistol bores, the Ripcord makes fast, effective bore maintenance possible without the time and mess of patching and brushing.

The cord measures 36" overall, with 10" of aggressive cleaning surface wrapped around a caliber-specific molded rubberized core. The rubber flaps wrap the bore for 360-degree contact, scraping copper and carbon fouling loose while the woven Nomex fibers carry it out the muzzle. Both the Nomex and rubber components are heat resistant up to 700 degrees F, so the Ripcord can be run through a hot barrel straight off the firing line without degrading.

To use, apply a few drops of your preferred solvent to the cord, thread the 8-32" end onto a standard cleaning rod, and run it through the bore from the chamber end to the muzzle. The single-pass design is fast enough for a quick post-range wipe-down yet thorough enough for deeper cleaning sessions. Sold individually (1 count).
