Otis Ripcord .45 Cal 8-32" Thread Nomex/Rubber 36" Bore Cleaner

The Otis Ripcord is a purpose-built .45 caliber bore cleaner designed to scrub fouling, carbon and copper from both rifle and pistol bores in a single pull. The 36" flexible cable combines a heat-resistant Nomex core with rubber wiping elements and is terminated in a male 8-32" thread that mates with standard Otis jags, patch holders and cable accessories.

A 10" section of helix-shaped Nomex fibers does the actual scrubbing, engaging rifling 360 degrees to push debris out of the bore without the need for solvent-soaked patches. The Nomex construction is rated to withstand temperatures up to 700 degrees F, so the Ripcord holds up to repeated fouling shots without breaking down. The flexible cable follows the bore through leade and into the chamber, making it equally effective on .45 caliber handguns and rifles.

Threaded on both ends to accept other Otis components, the Ripcord drops into an existing Otis cleaning system or works as a standalone field tool. Compact enough for a range bag and tough enough for daily use, the Otis Ripcord delivers fast, thorough bore cleaning with one pass through the barrel.
