Mossberg Patriot 300 Win Mag 24" 3+1 Bolt-Action Rifle - Walnut Stock

The Mossberg Patriot Walnut (model 28132) is a full-size bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 300 Win Mag, purpose-built for big-game hunting in open country. It pairs Mossberg's traditional bolt-action platform with a classically-styled Walnut fixed stock, giving hunters a no-nonsense rifle that is both functional and traditional in appearance.

At the heart of the Patriot is a 24 in button-rifled fluted barrel in a matte blued finish with a 1:10 twist well-suited to the wide range of bullet weights used in 300 Win Mag hunting loads. The barrel is free-floated and crowned with a recessed match crown to protect the muzzle and support accuracy. A 5/8x24 threaded muzzle makes it easy to attach a muzzle brake or suppressor. The barrel mates to a matte blued stainless steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for scope mounting, since the Patriot ships with no iron sights.

The Patriot uses Mossberg's bolt action with a spiral-fluted bolt for smooth cycling. The trigger is Mossberg's patented LBA (Lightning Bolt Action) user-adjustable trigger, which can be set between 2 and 7 lbs without removing the action from the stock. A two-position safety is mounted at the rear of the bolt. Capacity is 3+1 from an internal drop-box magazine, loaded through the open action.

The fixed stock is finished in a warm brown Walnut with traditional lines, sized for right-handed shooters. Overall length is 44.75 in and the rifle weighs approximately 7 lbs, making it a manageable carry for backcountry hunts.
