The Mossberg 590S Compact is a tactical-grade 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun purpose-built for personal defense and close-quarters use. Factory item 51606 pairs Mossberg's battle-proven 590 action with a factory-installed optic and premium furniture right out of the box.

At the heart of the package is an 18.5" stainless steel barrel with a matte blue finish and a fixed cylinder bore choke. The pump feeds from a 5-round tubular magazine (5+1 total) and chambers 3" shells, covering magnum buckshot, slugs, and less-lethal loads. The drilled and tapped receiver is ready to accept optics and accessories, while a classic bead front sight provides a fast aiming point that co-witnesses with the included optic. Internally, the 590 platform is built on dual extractors, twin action bars, positive steel-to-steel lockup, and a top-mounted ambidextrous safety - proven controls that have carried the 590 through decades of military, law enforcement, and home-defense service. A magazine clean-out cap makes unloading and clearing fast and tool-free.

Mossberg finishes the 590S Compact with a Magpul MOE polymer forend for improved control and a Gray Magpul SGA adjustable stock with a synthetic construction. A factory-installed Holosun Micro Dot reflex sight is mounted to the receiver, delivering fast target acquisition straight from the box. Overall length measures 38" and the complete package weighs 6.75 lbs, making this a compact, maneuverable defensive shotgun well suited for home defense and tactical applications.
