At the heart of the platform is a 20" cylinder-bore barrel finished in matte blued steel and chambered for 3" shells, accepting both 2.75" and 3" 12 Gauge loads. The action is fed from an under-barrel magazine tube for an 8+1 total capacity. Reliability is delivered through dual extractors, twin action bars, a positive steel-to-steel lockup, and an anti-jam elevator. A top-mounted safety provides easy reach for the shooter, and a simple bead front sight gets on target quickly in close-quarters environments.

The FLEX 6-position adjustable stock ships installed with a FLEX pistol grip and a recoil pad, letting the user set length of pull to their preferred stance. The polymer furniture is finished in Black, complementing the blued metalwork for a low-glare, snag-resistant profile. Measuring 37.75" overall and weighing 7.75 lbs, the 590 Tactical balances quickly and handles comfortably at arm's length or from a shouldered position.
