The Mossberg 590 Shockwave is a compact, pump-action 12 Gauge firearm built around Mossberg's 590 platform and chambered for 3-inch shotshells. The Shockwave pairs a 14.38-inch heavy-walled cylinder-bore barrel with a 5+1 capacity tube magazine, reaching an overall length of just 26.37 inches at approximately 6 pounds.

Both the heavy-walled barrel and the receiver carry a rugged matte blued finish, with the receiver machined from stainless steel and drilled and tapped to accept optics or accessories. Sighting is handled by a simple bead front sight at the muzzle, while the included Crimson Trace Lasersaddle mounts to the receiver and projects an aiming point for fast target acquisition from any shooting position.

Control is delivered through a strapped forend for positive cycling and a black Raptor Birdshead grip - a configuration designed to give the Shockwave a natural point-and-shoot orientation. The lightweight, balanced package, short barrel, and unique grip design make this 590 Shockwave easy to control from a variety of shooting positions. Choked cylinder bore and configured for right-hand operation.
