The Mossberg 590 Mariner is a purpose-built 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun engineered to perform in harsh environments. This model carries Mossberg's Silver Marinecote protective coating across the barrel and receiver, providing strong resistance to rust and corrosion in harsh, wet conditions.

At the heart of the 590 Mariner is a 20" cylinder-bore barrel chambered for 3" shells, built on the 590-series pump-action platform. The magazine tube holds 8+1 rounds of 12 Gauge ammunition, giving this shotgun solid personal-protection capability in a compact, maneuverable package. Overall length measures just 41" and the gun weighs approximately 7 lbs, making the Mariner well suited for marine, vehicle, and home-defense roles where handling matters.

This shotgun ships from the factory with Mossberg's pistol grip conversion kit, allowing the end user to quickly reconfigure the 590 Mariner from a traditional fixed stock to a compact, Cruiser-style pistol-grip setup. Sighting is handled by a simple, fast-to-acquire bead front sight, and the shotgun is configured for right-handed shooters.
