The Midwest Industries MIQD170 Universal QD Base is a tool-free, quick-detach mounting base designed to clamp onto any standard Picatinny rail. Machined from 6061 aluminum and protected with a black hardcoat anodized finish, this single-piece base provides a rigid, return-to-zero platform for swapping scopes and optics between rifles or pulling them off for transport and storage.

Built around a Universal QD design, the MIQD170 is fully adjustable without tools and will fit rails that are not machined to strict Mil-Spec tolerances. At just 3" long, the base keeps a compact footprint on the rail while integrated quick-detach levers let you install or remove the unit in seconds. Rings are not included, so you can pair the base with ring diameters sized to your particular optic.
