The Midwest Industries MIFN16CRM14 Lightweight is a purpose-built AR-15 pattern semi-automatic rifle chambered in .223 Wylde, a hybrid chamber designed to safely and accurately fire both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. The upper and lower receivers are forged from 7075-T6 aluminum, precisely machined to M16/M4 specs with M4 feed ramps, and finished in a mil-spec hard-coat anodized black for duty-grade durability.

Up front, a 16" lightweight Melonite-treated barrel is cut with a 1:8" twist to stabilize a broad range of bullet weights common to the .223/5.56 platform. The 14" M-LOK handguard provides a slim accessory-ready mounting surface that keeps the overall package agile. An A2 flash hider sits at the muzzle, and the upper is delivered optic ready for the shooter's preferred red dot, low-power variable, or magnified optic.

The furniture keeps the rifle pointed and adjustable: a Magpul CTR 6-position stock offers a clean cheek weld and solid lockup for shouldering the carbine from prone, vehicle, or barrier positions, while a Magpul MOE grip fills the hand comfortably. Controls are familiar AR-pattern with a manual thumb safety on the left side. At 5.88 lbs, the Lightweight is built to be carried all day without becoming a burden on a sling or in the hands.

Right-handed in operation, the Midwest Industries MIFN16CRM14 Lightweight works with standard AR-15 components and accepts standard detachable magazines, with a stated 30+1 capacity.
