The Meprolight USA Tru-Dot self-illuminated front sight is a combat-proven upgrade for Smith & Wesson J-Frame revolvers fitted with a 1-7/8" barrel. Meprolight's fixed night-sight design replaces the factory front blade with a tritium-powered aiming reference that draws the shooter's eye in any lighting condition - no batteries, no switches, no snag points.

The vial contains green tritium gas, providing years of consistent glow. A crisp white outline ringed around the green dot accelerates acquisition in bright daylight, while in low light or total darkness the tritium takes over to keep the front sight instantly visible. The sight body is machined from steel with a durable black finish, and it drops directly into the factory dovetail on the J-Frame's barrel for a clean, secure install.
