The MDT XRS Chassis System is a precision rifle chassis designed for shooters who want the classic feel of a traditional shaped rifle stock combined with the modularity and rigidity of a modern precision chassis. This Right Hand configuration is built around a rigid aluminum core wrapped in textured polymer panels and is machined to drop directly onto a Howa 1500 Short Action barreled action.

Engineered to be fully free-floating for optimal barrel harmonics and repeatable accuracy, the XRS adds an M-LOK compatible forend that accepts a broad range of accessory mounts, barricade stops, bipods, and sling attachments. An adjustable cheekrest allows the shooter to dial in proper comb height for optics, while the chassis delivers an adjustable length of pull from 13" to 15" so the rifle can be set up for use with or without heavy cold-weather clothing.

MDT's interchangeable grip system ships with both an angled grip and a vertical grip included in the box, letting the shooter configure the ergonomics of the chassis to match personal preference and shooting style. The chassis is AICS magazine compatible, accepting AICS-pattern short action magazines to provide reliable feeding for a variety of precision rifle cartridges.

Finished in a tough matte black coating and weighing approximately 3.90 lbs, the MDT XRS Chassis transforms the Howa 1500 Short Action into a fully-featured precision rifle platform ready for the range, the field, or competition use.
