The MDT Oryx Chassis is a precision drop-in rifle chassis system built specifically for the Savage Axis short action bolt-action rifle. Precision-machined from aluminum and finished in OD Green/Black, the Oryx turns an otherwise traditional factory rifle into a modern precision platform at an entry-level price.

At the core of the system is a fully free-floated barrel channel that lets your Savage Axis barrel shoot without contacting the stock during cycling, helping unlock its best possible accuracy. An adjustable cheekrest rides on the top of the chassis so the shooter can dial in proper eye alignment with optics of any height, while the AR-style pistol grip delivers familiar ergonomics for anyone already comfortable behind a modern sporting rifle.

The Oryx chassis upgrades the forend with a full M-LOK compatible rail for adding accessories like lights, bipod mounts, barricade studs, or sling attachment points. An integrated barricade stop at the leading edge of the forend gives a positive, repeatable surface for barricade shooting and positional transitions in the field or at the range. The magwell is cut to accept any AICS-pattern detachable box magazine, allowing fast, reliable reloads and offering broad magazine compatibility.
