The MDT Sporting Goods AICS Metal Magazine is a precision rifle magazine engineered for short action AICS-pattern platforms chambered in .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor (also compatible with 6mm Creedmoor and 243 Winchester). With a 10-round capacity and MDT's proprietary Double Stack to Single Feed (DSSF) transition design, this magazine sits roughly 3/4" shorter in overall height than a standard AICS 10-round magazine, making it an ideal feed source for short-action precision rifles and chassis systems where magazine well clearance matters.

The body is machined from high-strength nitrided steel and finished on the inside for smooth, reliable cartridge movement. The exterior is coated in Cerakote Elite for ultimate resistance to corrosion and friction, giving the magazine its durable black finish. Two internal ribs reduce friction between the cartridge case and the magazine body while guiding rounds through the DSSF transition for consistent, dependable feeding round after round.

This variant ships from the factory with an installed binder plate that limits forward cartridge movement for shorter overall-length rounds, boosting reliability when running mixed or shorter OAL handloads. Outside length measures approximately 3.055", with a maximum cartridge overall length of 2.870" when using the binder plate and a rear height of 2.52".
