The Maverick 88 Cruiser is a compact 20 gauge pump-action shotgun purpose-built for personal defense and home security. Built by Maverick Arms on the proven Mossberg 500-style operating system, the 88 line delivers time-tested pump-action reliability at a value price point and shares most controls and parts with its Mossberg cousins.

This Cruiser configuration pairs a short 18.5" blued steel barrel with a cylinder bore choke, a 3" chamber, and a 5+1 round capacity (5 rounds in the magazine tube plus one in the chamber) for maximum firepower in a maneuverable package. The barrel is fitted with a simple front bead sight for fast target acquisition at close range. Overall length is 31" and the unloaded weight is approximately 5.5 lbs.

The 88 carries Mossberg's signature top-mounted cross-bolt safety located behind the trigger guard for natural thumb operation, dual extractors for positive shell extraction, and the anti-jam elevator for reliable feeding under stress.
