The Magpul Tactile Lock-Plate Type 2 is a polymer magazine enhancement from Magpul Industries that lets the shooter identify and differentiate magazines by touch. This Type 2 variant uses a 1/8" double ridge configuration to produce a distinct tactile signature, so a loadout can be confirmed without looking at the magazine - even in low light or while wearing gloves.

The lock-plates install inside the floor plates of PMAG 10/20/30 AR/M4 GEN M3 and AR 300 B GEN M3 magazines, as well as compatible TMAGs. They are molded from durable polymer in a black finish that blends cleanly with standard PMAG floor plates, and they do not change the magazine's function, capacity, or reliability. Combined with the Type 1 single-ridge plate, the two profiles let a user mark multiple magazine types for fast, confident selection.
