The Magpul Suppressor Cover is a hard-shell protective sleeve engineered to handle the extreme heat generated by sustained semiautomatic fire. Its clamshell design clamps directly onto an existing suppressor without tools or permanent modification, shielding the user, gear, and support hand from burns during fast transitions and follow-up shots.
Built around a stainless steel heat shield overlaid with a heat-resistant polymer outer sleeve, the cover drops the external surface temperature by up to 1000 degrees F compared to the bare can. The MAG781 measures 5.5" long with a 2.5" diameter, sized to fit 1.5" outer diameter round suppressors with a body length of approximately 5.5" (not including mounting hardware or interface). Fitment is optimized for the SureFire SOCOM556-RC2 and most other 1.5" conformal round cans used on AR-15, M4, and M16 rifles.
The clamp-style attachment holds the cover securely on the suppressor body while still allowing the can to be removed and reinstalled as needed. Finished in black polymer and steel, this Magpul suppressor cover adds durable thermal protection without permanent alteration to the host firearm or suppressor. Total weight is 9.60 oz.
