The Magpul Industries MBUS 3 Front Sight is a folding polymer backup iron sight (BUIS) for AR-platform rifles. A scaled-down evolution of Magpul's proven MBUS series, the MBUS 3 cuts bulk while keeping the spring-loaded flip-up action and tool-free adjustments that have made Magpul back-up sights a standard accessory on AR builds, duty rifles, and go-to-bag carbines alike.

Molded from impact-resistant polymer in Flat Dark Earth, the MBUS 3 Front clamps to any standard Picatinny rail and is made in the USA. When deployed, it sits at standard AR sight height for clean co-witness with most red dots and low-power variables; when folded, it rides just 0.47" above the rail and measures only 1.38" at its widest point - slim enough to stay out of the way under a magnifier or behind a free-float handguard. The spring-loaded release positively locks the sight upright and tucks it flat with a deliberate push.

Adjustment is straightforward: the tool-less elevation knob lets the shooter dial in point of aim without pulling gear from a pouch, while the dual-width enhanced front post mirrors the proven MBUS Pro blade - a tall, narrow center for precise work, with wider wings for fast close-in acquisition. Each click moves 1 MOA, so a solid zero is quick to set and holds once it's in place.
