The Magpul AFG-2 (Angled Fore Grip) is a slim-line, low-profile foregrip designed to promote a natural, more ergonomic shooting stance on rifles and carbines equipped with M1913 Picatinny-railed handguards. Made in the USA, the AFG-2 is shorter and narrower than the original AFG, allowing it to fit on a wider range of platforms, including AR-15 / M4 / M16 carbines and most other railed handguards.
Rather than pulling the hand straight down like a traditional vertical grip, the AFG-2 indexes the support hand at an angle that aligns with the natural point of the wrist, providing a comfortable and stable user interface that reduces fatigue and aids in recoil management, control, and consistency between shots. The three-point contact design - between the palm, thumb, and forefinger - encourages repeatable hand placement and helps the shooter drive the weapon without over-gripping.
Built from polymer with a textured surface for positive purchase, the AFG-2 measures 1.94" tall and clamps securely to any standard 1913 Picatinny rail. The Flat Dark Earth finish blends in nicely with FDE builds and many factory rifle offerings. Mounting hardware is included.
Note: Per Magpul's installation instructions, the AFG-2 must be mounted entirely on the handguard with the front of the grip at least 3" rearward of the muzzle.
