The Magne-Tech Rigel II (RGLII) is a compact, high-output tactical weapon light built around a magnetic quick-detach mounting system that lets the shooter attach or remove the light from a Picatinny rail without tools. Designed as a primary long-gun illuminator for defensive, duty, and low-light shooting applications, the Rigel II pushes an impressive 1100 lumens of focused white light through a Luminous SST-40 LED, producing a peak beam intensity of 14,026 candela and a maximum throw of 237 meters.

At the heart of the Rigel II is Magne-Tech's signature magnetic mounting platform. The set includes both the magnetic ring mount and the base receiver that lock together on the rail, holding the light firmly in place while still allowing fast, tool-free removal when the user wants to transition the light between firearms or store it. The system is rated to hold up to 40 lbs in the vertical position, and is calibrated to a torque spec of 20 in-lb during installation. The magnetic QD design makes the Rigel II a strong fit for AR-platform rifles, shotguns, and any other long gun equipped with a standard Picatinny rail section.

The Rigel II is powered by a single rechargeable 18650 battery, giving it a runtime of 1.5 hours at the full 1100-lumen output and stretching all the way out to 150 hours on the lowest 1% setting. Programmable output modes let the user dial in the brightness level that fits the task, from room-clearing flood to extended-runtime map-reading or administrative use. With the battery installed, the complete weapon light weighs 6.9 oz, keeping it light enough to stay out of the way on the forend of a carbine or the rail of a pistol-caliber PCC.
