Liberty Ammunition Civil Defense 45 Long Colt 78gr Hollow Point - Box or Case

The Liberty Civil Defense loads a lightweight 78 grain lead-free fragmenting hollow point bullet into a 45 Long Colt case and drives it to a screaming 1800 fps - producing 560 ft lbs of muzzle energy from a round that weighs a fraction of what traditional 45 LC lead-bullet loads carry. Purpose-built for personal protection and home defense in revolvers and lever-action rifles chambered for 45 Long Colt.

The bullet is a copper, lead-free hollow point designed to fragment on impact, producing a wide wound channel and reducing the risk of over-penetration. Liberty rates the terminal effect at roughly 4-1/2" wide by 12" deep - impressive numbers for a 78-grain projectile traveling at 1800 fps. Because the projectile is non-magnetic and lead-free, this load is also suitable for use on ranges that require non-toxic ammunition.

Each round is loaded in a brass case with a Boxer primer for reliable ignition. This is new production ammunition from Liberty Ammunition's Civil Defense line, offered in either a 20-round box or a 200-round case of 10 boxes.
