The Leupold VX-Freedom 4-12x40mm riflescope delivers the legendary performance and dependability Leupold is known for, wrapped into a versatile magnification range that is well suited for mid to longer-range shooting on the range or in the field. Finished in a non-reflective matte black and built around a classic 1" main tube, this scope pairs a proven 4-12x magnification range with a 40mm objective for a balanced blend of light gathering and a slim, lightweight hunting profile.

The optical system uses Leupold's classic Duplex reticle in the second focal plane (SFP), giving a clean, uncluttered sight picture designed for fast target acquisition at hunting distances. A Custom Dial System (CDS) turret allows the shooter to order a custom dial matched to their specific load and ballistic profile, making long-range holdovers simple and intuitive once zero is established. Parallax is set at the factory for 150 yards, the sweet spot for most centerfire hunting applications.

The VX-Freedom produces a usable field of view of 21.50 to 10 feet at 100 yards across its magnification range, paired with a generous eye relief of 3.70" to 4.90" for comfortable, repeatable head position behind the scope. The optic measures 12.50" long and tips the scales at just 13.10 oz, keeping the rifle balanced whether mounted on a lightweight hunting rig or a sporter build.
