The optic sits in a lightweight aluminum housing finished in matte black, with Leupold's signature 5:1 zoom ratio for fast, fluid transitions across the magnification range. The reticle is the popular PR1-MIL deployed in a First Focal Plane (FFP) configuration, so holdovers, ranging, and windage subtensions remain true at every power setting. The scope is fog, shock, and waterproof, purpose-built to perform in any condition a shooter is willing to take it into.

Turrets use Leupold's proven M5C3 ZeroLock adjustment system with positive, tactile click dialing at 0.1 MIL per click and a built-in zero-stop that returns the dial precisely to zero. A side-focus parallax adjustment begins at 50 yards, and the generous 3.50" - 3.80" eye relief provides a comfortable, repeatable cheek weld across the entire magnification range. Field of view runs 28.30 ft @ 100 yds at 3.6x to 5.80 ft @ 100 yds at 18x.
