The Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot Base is a one-piece scope mounting base built specifically for the Remington 700 Short Action rifle. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, it pairs lightweight construction with serious rigidity for field and long-range use.

This base features an integrated 20 MOA of cant, which shifts your scope's elevation upward relative to the bore, giving you extra internal adjustment for long-range shots without running out of scope turret travel. The cross-slot design accepts both Picatinny- and Weaver-style rings, so you can pair it with the ring system you prefer.

The BackCountry base ships with two sets of mounting screws (8-40 and 6-48), making it adaptable to a wide range of receivers.
