The Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot Base is a one-piece scope mount precision-machined from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and purpose-built for the Nosler M21 short-action rifle. At 6.30" long with a low-profile, non-reflective matte black finish, this BackCountry base delivers the rugged dependability Leupold is known for while adding only about 1.8 oz to your rifle.

The integrated recoil lug is milled directly into the base for a no-slip fit on the Nosler M21 receiver. The Cross-Slot pattern accepts Leupold's cross-slot ring family directly, giving you a solid, repeatable scope-mounting platform compatible with both Picatinny and Weaver ring systems. Install with a recommended base/receiver screw torque of 22 in-lbs for a rock-solid lock-up that holds zero run after run.
