The Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot is a 1-piece scope base engineered specifically for the Browning A-Bolt Short Action rifle. Machined from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, this base delivers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio that holds up to heavy recoil and backcountry abuse while keeping your optic-mounting setup light.

Finished in a low-glare matte black, the BackCountry base measures 5.90" long and weighs only 1.75 oz. Its cross-slot design is built to accept both Picatinny and Weaver-style rings, giving you the freedom to mount virtually any rifle scope you already own or plan to run. The base mounts directly to the rifle's receiver.
