Leupold 51701 Standard 2-Piece Scope Base Matte Black - Weatherby Mark V

The Leupold 51701 is a Standard 2-piece scope base machined specifically for the Weatherby Mark V rifle. Part of Leupold's time-tested Standard base line, this set provides a secure, reliable mounting platform for scope rings on the Mark V receiver, giving shooters a solid foundation for any optic they choose to pair with their rifle.

Each base is built from forged and machined steel for excellent rigidity and recoil resistance, finished in a non-reflective matte black that blends seamlessly with most factory barreled actions. The two-piece design clamps down on the receiver's nine-lug pattern for a precise, repeatable fit, and Leupold's base geometry is optimized to mate with their family of STD-compatible rings.

Rings are not included with this base, allowing the shooter to choose the ring height and style that best suits their scope and intended use. Leupold recommends a base/receiver screw torque of 22 in-lbs and a windage screw torque of 45 in-lbs during installation. The 51701 weighs approximately 2 oz as a complete set.
