The Leupold 170489 Standard Base is a precision 2-piece scope mounting base machined from steel with a low-glare matte black finish, purpose-built for the Ruger American Rimfire rifle.

As part of Leupold's proven Standard Base line, this set provides a solid, repeatable mounting platform that bolts directly to the rifle's receiver. The 2-piece configuration gives the shooter flexibility to position the scope along the action for proper eye relief, while the non-reflective matte black finish blends cleanly with most factory Ruger American Rimfire stocks and barrels.

Machined from rugged steel for long-term rigidity under recoil, this base is designed to accept Leupold STD rings (sold separately), which are offered in five different heights so you can match your optic to your shooting style. Rings are not included, letting you pair the base with exactly the ring height your scope requires.
