The Lehigh Defense Controlled Chaos is a .224 caliber, 32 grain, all-copper reloading projectile engineered for varmint, small-game, and defensive applications in .223 Remington, 5.56x45mm NATO, .22-250 Remington, and .22 Hornet loads.
Built around Lehigh's proprietary Controlled Chaos technology, this lead-free bullet uses a copper jacket over a copper core and measures .605" overall length. Its .184 ballistic coefficient and .091 sectional density support flat trajectories and consistent performance at varmint velocities. Upon impact with fluid, the front portion of the projectile sheds into multiple petals while the rear base continues to penetrate, creating an aggressive wound channel while reducing the risk of dangerous over-penetration on defensive targets.
Sold as a 50-count box of bullets ready for the reloading bench - these are projectiles only, not loaded ammunition. Manufactured in the USA by Lehigh Defense, the Controlled Chaos line is a go-to for handloaders running lightweight varmint rounds in .22 Hornet and .22-250 Rem, as well as those building compact, fast-expanding defensive .223/5.56 loads for rifles and AR-pattern pistols.
