The Lee Precision 90782 Taper Crimp Die is a single-die reloading press accessory purpose-built for straight-walled pistol cartridges in 40 S&W / 10mm Auto. It is machined from hardened steel and engineered to correct the crimp problems caused by poorly designed dies, applying a smooth, concentric taper crimp that rolls the case mouth uniformly into the crimp groove of a jacketed bullet.

Designed for use on a standard reloading press with 7/8"-14 threads, this taper crimp die brings the mouth of a sized and charged case down to a consistent diameter without deforming the bullet or distorting the case body. As with all taper crimp designs, the die offers little or no advantage when used with cast or unjacketed lead bullets; it is intended for jacketed projectiles that carry a crimp groove.

This listing is for the single die only. A shellholder is not included, and the die ships in a storage box to keep it protected on the reloading bench.
